West Cork Watercolour founder Barry Dawkes

Watercolour Painting Cork - Boat Painting

Barry Dawkes developed his love of watercolour painting in Norfolk under the expert guidance of well known Norfolk artist, Ian King, and shares his love of boats, water and reflections.

Having moved to West Cork, Ireland six years ago, he has continued to paint, capturing the beauty of the West Cork landscape in both watercolours and pastels.

A full member of the Pastel Society of Ireland, Barry has exhibited in the Society’s National Exhibition in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

He is chairman of the local Carbery Art Group where he regularly gives demonstrations and workshops, and teaches watercolour painting at Adult Education Centres and is an approved tutor to the ICA.

Barry aims to pass on his knowledge and skills to budding artists by making watercolour and pastel painting addictive fun.
